Mrs. Norma Mullen, 96, a native of Williamsport, passed away on Oct. 10, 2023 in Mundelein, Maryland.
She was the third youngest daughter of Raymond and Mable (Donovan) Lunt.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 15 in Mundelein.
Mrs. Mullen was a member of the former First Baptist church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School's Class of 1944. She married her husband, Howard Mullen, in 1947 and they enjoyed 48 years together before his death in 1995.
She was gifted student, talented multi-instrumental musician and seamstress, as well as a bookkeeper and secretary for several school districts. She and her husband travelled around the country in connection with his positions at American Can Company. She particularly enjoyed being with her family. Her hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles and decorating.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Mullen and his wife, Jennifer, of Mundelein, Md.; brother, Larry Lunt, of Alexandria, Va.; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Forney and Evelyn Gephart.
