Janice E. Goodman, of Loyalsock, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024. She was greeted at Heaven's gates into the loving arms of her husband of 46 years, John E. Goodman, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2015.
Born Dec. 28, 1944, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Jack E. Welliver and Annabell (McCoy).
Janice was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School. Nov. 8, 1968, she married the love of her life. She and John owned State Farm Insurance Agency for years. Her selfless nature was evident in all she did. She had a warm, loving approach to life, which drew people to her and created lifelong friendships. She loved spending time with her family and many memories were made. You would find her shopping at her favorite store, Hobby Lobby. She enjoyed decorating her home and on Sundays, you could find her watching her favorite football team, the Steelers.
Surviving are her sisters, Judy McKibben (Ron), and Jackie Kibler (Mike); nephews, Chris McKibben (Vickie), Craig McKibben (Michelle), Michael Kibler (Karen); nieces, Lori Williams, and Dana Bishop (Phillip); five great-nephews; six great-nieces; 11 great-great-nephews; nine great-great-nieces; and many friends.
One Nephew, Todd McKibben is deceased.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor Dave Bixler officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
