Kathryn Mae Livermore, 87, originally from Williamsport, passed away on Jan. 16, 2024, in Acworth, GA with her children by her side in body and in spirit.
Born Aug. 1, 1936, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances Neiderberger. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Robert in 2015. In addition to her parents and Daniel, Katie was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Katie had a beautiful smile, witty sense of humor and a laugh that was infectious. She had a love of movies that was instilled on her by her late father. As an avid book reader, she passed this joy on to her children and grandchildren. But more than anything, Katie loved to travel to spend time with her children, grandchildren and now great-grandchild. Nothing brought her greater joy than to be with them and experience life with them.
Daniel and Katie were very giving. They volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years and served in their local church, Balls Mills United Methodist. She was a loving caregiver to Daniel during his battle through illness and was by the side of her sister, Esther, during her final years. Her light will be dearly missed.
Surviving Katie are her three daughters, Karen L. (David) Damsky of Florence, MA, Shari L. Miller of Littleton, CO and Susan L. (Danny) Montalvo of Woodstock, GA; a son, Craig W. (Debbie) Livermore of Candor, NY; a sister, Norma J. Wiegel of Williamsport, PA; six grandchildren, Micah Damsky, Megan Miller, Kristen Miller, Danny Montalvo II, Andrew Montalvo (Lexie) and Jordan Harrod; and one great grandchild, Adam Montalvo.
A memorial service will be held at a later time at Balls Mills United Methodist Church, 5941 Bloomingrove Road, Cogan Station, PA. Burial will follow in Balls Mills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Balls Mills United Methodist Church or to Alzheimer's/Dementia research.
