Shirley Arnold Moll

Shirley Arnold Moll, a beloved resident of Montoursville, peacefully passed away on April 23, 2024, at Heritage Springs in Muncy, PA. She was born on May 26, 1933, in Danville, PA, the daughter of the late Margret Burkey Koons.

Shirley dedicated over three decades of her life in service as a Correctional Officer at SCI Muncy. Her commitment and dedication to her work were exemplary, leaving a lasting impact on those she served alongside and the institution she helped uphold.

Shirley exemplified resilience and independence throughout her life. Her strong and tenacious spirit guided her through both challenges and triumphs. Shirley had a passion for movies, particularly enjoying them on the big screen. She was also an avid fan of crime TV shows, finding intrigue and excitement in every episode.

Shirley’s unique sense of humor, known only to those closest to her, brought joy and laughter to many occasions throughout her life. Shirley will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Shirley was also survived by her brother, Joe Koons wife Connie of Danville, and preceded in death her sister Connie Davis and husband Joe Davis of Turbotville.

Shirley’s Family was made up of 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her son, Scott Moll, and his wife Jean, of Montoursville. Scott and Jean’s family includes Jordan Mutchler and husband Brenden, Dylan Moll, and Madison Moll

Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Moll, who is survived by five children. Kathy’s family includes Melissa Montou and husband John, Terry Jones and wife Sherry, David Jones and wife Wendy, Matthew Jones and wife Tiffany, Sandie

Shirley was preceded in death by her son William Bill Moll, who is survived by four children. Bill’s family includes William Bill Moll Jr. and wife Laura, James Moll Sr. and wife Bridgette, Christopher Moll and wife Michelle, John Moll, and Sarah E. Hidlay

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
