John “Jack” Neece

John “Jack” Carl Neece, 80, passed away in Ocala, Fla, on June 6, 2024. Jack was born on October 26, 1943, in Williamsport, Pa, to John and Jane (Grafius) Neece.

On July 1, 1966, he married the former Doris Owens, and the two of them spent many wonderful years together. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. After returning to the United States he worked for many years as an air traffic controller, then spent some years working for U.S. Customs. Jack greatly enjoyed golfing, bowling, and taking care of his yard, and when he was younger he loved hunting and fishing. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Doris Neece; two children, Jennifer (Jason) Owens and John-Thomas Neece; two grandchildren, Annabelle (Jon) Maples and Andrew Owens; brother, Jerry Neece; two sisters, Janice Cilfford and Jeanne (John) Fedinez; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Per Jack’s request no public services are being held.
