Lewis J. Myers

Lewis J. Myers, 69, of Hughesville, died June 10, 2024, at Williamsport South Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility, with his daughters by his side. He married the former Bonnie Lundy on February 6, 1976.

Born March 19, 1955, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Gordon and Velva (Koch) Myers. Lewis was a 1973 graduate of Hughesville High School, and attended Williamsport Area Community College where he took automotive classes. He was employed at GTE Sylvania, Montoursville for nine years. He then worked at Grumman in Montgomery as a spray painter. He also worked at Lewis Lumber, Picture Rocks for many years. Lewis enjoyed doing bodywork on cars in his garage. He raced cars at Beaver Springs and Numidia Dragways. Lewis liked AMX and Chevy Cars, specifically Corvettes. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and coaching baseball and softball for his children.

Surviving in addition to his wife Bonnie are two daughters, Samantha Myers (fiancée Zachary Balliet), of Hughesville, and Andreya Snyder, of Hughesville; three sons, Tracy (Melissa) Myers, of Hughesville, Michael Myers, of Unityville, and Matthew Myers, of Hughesville; a brother, Marvin (Holly) Myers, of Muncy; a sister, Susan (Terry) Walburn, of Muncy; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Myers.

A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on June 17, 2024, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, Pa., with Rev. Dan Cale officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
