Jennifer Jean Motter

Jennifer Motter, affectionately known as Jen, passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on Nov. 6, 1949, in Jersey Shore, Jennifer spent her entire life in her beloved hometown.

Throughout her life, Jennifer had a deep passion for various hobbies. She enjoyed the thrill of finding hidden treasures at yard sales and dedicated countless hours to her artwork. Her talent and creativity were recognized and admired, with some of her pieces even being displayed at the Folk Art Museum in New York City.

One of Jennifer’s greatest joys in life was going on tractor rides around the farm. She found solace and happiness in the simplicity of those moments. Her home, where she felt most at peace, was her favorite place in the world.

Jennifer’s professional accomplishments included graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from Lock Haven University. She was proud of her achievements and continued to pursue her passion for art throughout her life.

Jennifer was married to Richard Motter, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. She adored her son, Luke Motter, and daughter Bobett Martino, as well as her son-in-law, Brian Martino. Jennifer was also blessed with the love and joy of her granddaughters, Aurora and Gianna, and grandsons, Dominic and Angelo. Her niece, Jessie, was her painting buddy.

Known for her sarcastic humor and kind nature Jennifer impacted the lives of those around her in many ways. She had a unique ability to persuade everyone she new to attend church, emphasizing the importance of faith and community.

Jennifer Motter will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will live on through her artistic creations and the memories of her infectious laughter and genuine kindness.

A short, but sweet, memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 6, 2024, at Crossroads Church, Rt 44 S Jersey Shore, to celebrate Jennifer’s life and honor her memory.

If you would like to give tribute to Jennifer with a story of her there will be an opportunity to speak at the service. There will be lunch served at the church after the service. Please plan to break bread with family and friends.
