Teresa R. Tice

Teresa R. Tice, 96, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly at UPMC Williamsport ER on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Teresa was born in Williamsport on October 1, 1928, a daughter of Stanley and Mary Staron. She a graduate of Williamsport High School, after high school she was employed by Avco where she met her husband. Later in life she was employed at the Williamsport School district in the cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Tice Sr., they were married May 16, 1953.

Surviving are a son; Charles L. Tice Jr, living at home; a daughter, Mary E. Turner (Tim) of Williamsport, fur babies, (cats) Bootsie and Sassy Pants, (dog) Raven. six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous, nieces and nephews.

After retirements, she volunteered at Meals on Wheels and had worked the polls on voting days. Growing up in a very musical oriented family, she volunteered for the Williamsport Symphony, played several instruments when she was younger, and had played with her brothers in their polka band, playing numerous weddings and other events. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, growing plants, collecting Hummels and Waterford crystal, but mostly, Teresa devoted her life to taking care of Charles Jr, who was a special needs individual.

In addition to her parents and husband; a sister, Mary Pinto, and brothers, Edward, Joseph and John Staron all preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Friday evening, March 7, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Rd., Williamsport, 10 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Burial at Wildwood Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Teresa’s name may be made to Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, Pa 17701.
