Erick John Chase

Erick John Chase, age 68, of Covington, PA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 6, 1956, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of John B. and Gayle (Rumsey) Chase. Erick was the husband of the late Hirene Chase. He worked as a self-employed painter for over 50 years and a member of the Cherry Flats Baptist Church.

Erick is survived by his mother, Gayle; brothers, Tim (Krista) Chase of Covington, PA and Clinton (Carole) Chase of Mansfield, PA; sister, Jacqueline (Greg Stant) Williams of Tioga, PA; several nieces and nephews and his beloved feline buddy Nemo. Erick was preceded in death by his wife, father, paternal grandmother Nellie Chase and his maternal grandparents Marjorie and Emery Rumsey.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Gray Cemetery, Canada Road in Covington, PA with the pastor James Schmidt officiating.
