Lawrence Mase

Lawrence Mase, 90 of Liberty passed away Friday May 16, 2025 at Broad Acres in Wellsboro.

Larry was born November 6, 1934 in Liberty, the son of Orville and Gladys Schanbacher Mase. On October 7, 1953 he married Beverly Yoder; Beverly passed away March 2, 2021.

Larry served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany with the Fifth Surgical Hospital Unit.

He along with his wife were owners of Mase’s Agway store in Liberty.

He was a member of the East Point Ebenezer Church and the Knights of Pythias. He also enjoyed golfing at Corey Creek in Mansfield.

He is survived by a sister, Jean Russ, and many extended family members.

In addition to his wife Bev, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orville Mase and Donald Mase and sister Ruth Kreger.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at East Point Ebenezer Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Harmic officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery following the service.

Memorial donations may be directed to East Point Ebenezer Church or Liberty Fire Hall.
