William Louis Cuebas October 24, 1945 – May 12, 2025
William Louis Cuebas, affectionately known as “Bill,” passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania, on October 24, 1945, Bill lived a rich and passionate life centered around family, hard work, and his deep love of cars.
Bill spent much of his adult life in the Williamsport, Pennsylvania area before retiring to Melbourne, Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine and the freedom to pursue his lifelong passion–hot rods. He began his career as an automotive mechanic, later finding success as a real estate investor.
Bill’s family was always his greatest pride and joy. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 60 years, Lana (Springman); his two beloved sisters, Sharon Bertrand and Debbie Bertrand; his children, William Cuebas, Jr. (Kim) and Lisa Shaw (Brian); his grandchildren, Allison Hook, Leslie McCrum, Leah Shaw, and Jacob Shaw; and five great-grandchildren – Chase, Gabby, Kooper, Jaxon, and Lainey who filled his life with love and laughter.
Bill will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him–friends, fellow car lovers, and most of all, his family.
A memorial service will be held in Williamsport, PA at a later date.
