Bonnie J. Knarr

Bonnie J. Knarr, 80, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 6, 2025.

She was born March 10, 1945, the daughter to the late Harry F. and Mary E. (Laubscher) Aungst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Richard and Ralph Aungst, Robert Aungst Sr., Carol Webner, Evelyn Shoemaker and Betty Hecker; and a grandson, Joshua R. Knarr.

Bonnie is survived by her 4 sons, Charles A. (Phoebe) Knarr Jr., Gary W. (Nicole) Knarr, James A. (Rena) Knarr, and Ralph E. (Tracie) Knarr; 7 grandchildren, Kristen Funk, Lyndsey Knarr, Megan Allison, Kyle Knarr, Taylor Hudson, Jacob Knarr and Trevor Knarr; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was an amazing, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and gift to listen to those who needed to talk.

Bonnie worked and retired from Susque View Nursing Home in Lock Haven. Later in life, she went to Penn College where she earned her Associates degree in Business Administration. She will fondly be remembered for her love for family and greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at noon Thursday, June 12, at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. www.WelkerFuneralHome.com.
