Frank H. Odell Jr. (Rick), 76, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport. Born February 21, 1949, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Frank H. Odell Sr. and Margaret (Rickolt) Odell. He and his wife, Mary Lou, celebrated 32 years of marriage in April.
Frank became an Eagle Scout in 1966 and graduated from Montoursville High School in 1967. In 1968, he joined the Air Force and served proudly for 23 years during which he earned his bachelor's degree from New Hampshire University. After retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1991, he worked for Fairfield Auto Group for over 30 years. Frank was a member of Montoursville Presbyterian Church where he also served as trustee. He was a Honda motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding in charity events, including the 9/11 Memorial Ride. He was often sought out for his mechanical ability and automobile knowledge.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his son, Richard Odell, of Ventnor City, NJ; sister, Susan Wolfe, of Montoursville; niece, Jennifer Davis; great-niece and great-nephew, of Montoursville; step-daughters, Debra (Bob) Fox, of Coburn, Stacey (Ed) Anderson, of Jersey Shore, and Stephanie (Tom) Derugen, of Columbus OH; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 23, at Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm Street, with Reverend David C. Smith officiating. A memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 205 Tule Street, or to the Lycoming County SPCA.
