Dannie C. Brosious, 75, of Abington, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Dec. 1, 1949, Dannie was the son of the late Russel and Gladys Brosious. He was also predeceased by his sister, Joan Rigby. Dannie is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Brosious of Abington; his son, Jesse Brosious; daughter-in-law, Allison Brosious; and his three beloved grandsons, Landon, Callen, and Jace Brosious, all of Ambler. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Brosious (Diana) and Robert Brosious (Carole), both of Milton.
Dannie earned his bachelor of applied science in electronics technology and spent the majority of his career with Dictaphone, where his hard work and dedication led him to serve as District Service Manager until his retirement in 2005.
An Eagle Scout at heart and by achievement, Dannie lived by the motto "be prepared." His family and friends could always count on him to solve any problem--especially with his trusty red backpack, which traveled with him everywhere, filled with tools, supplies, and solutions for every situation.
Dannie loved the outdoors and found joy in sharing those experiences with his son and grandsons. His happiest moments were spent fishing--whether with his family along Pennsylvania's waters or on the beaches of Ocracoke, casting lines and creating lifelong memories.
Above all, Dannie will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet sense of humor and his unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy of love, preparedness and hard work lives on through all who knew him.
Services will be held at William R. May Funeral Home in Glenside, on Monday, July 7. A visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a service at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m.
