Michael F. Harzinski

Michael F. Harzinski, born March 12, 1950, passed away at the Gatehouse on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

He was born in Curwensville, PA to Joseph Harzinski and Avanelle Duttry. Michael’s father passed away while Michael was two years old and his mother remarried Joseph Mollica, who inspired his love of Italian cooking.

Michael graduated from Clearfield High School in 1968. He attended Mansfield State College and graduated from the Williamsport Respiratory Technician School. He was employed by the Williamsport Hospital mainly in the Pulmonary lab. He also worked for various home health companies.

Michael is survived by his wife of 53 years the former Shelby Straka and two sons, Matt (Katie) and Ryan (companion Brooke). He is also survived by two granddaughters, Jaiden and Brynn and three step-grandchildren, Ben, Cora and Josie. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Brown of Mansfield, Ohio and his brother, Joseph Mollica of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his brother Terry Harzinski of Bismarck, ND.

As per his request, his body was donated to science.
