Ralph E. “Butch” Bierly, 79, of Jersey Shore, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport.

Born October 5, 1945 in Jersey Shore, he was the son to the late Harold Bierly Jr. and the former Elaine (Walter) Gower.

Butch honorably served his country in the United States Army where he earned a Purple Heart. For many years, Butch worked at Jersey Shore Steel. He enjoyed riding Harleys, fishing, hunting, and was a member of the American Legion in Jersey Shore.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda A. Keefer (Shane Merrill), of Jersey Shore and Eva M. Bierly, of Jersey Shore; sisters, Barbara Schmouder, of Jersey Shoe and Ann Yearian, of Atlanta, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025 in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
