Harriet M. Kitchen
Harriet M. Kitchen, 100, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Williamsport Home. She has now been reunited with her loving husband of 42 years, Keith D. Kitchen, who passed away January 25, 1988.
Born June 27, 1925, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Frank M. and Margaret V. (Neville) Stoviak.
Harriet was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School and went on to work as a floor supervisor for the Keystone Friction Hinge for over 45 years before retiring. She was a proud member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and loved spending her free time playing bingo and completing difficult word search puzzles.
Harriet is survived by two children, Thomas S. Kitchen (Jane), and Pamela F. Miller (Charles); four grandchildren, Charles Miller (Melody), Bryan Miller (Jessica), Gregory Kitchen (Rachel), and Alex Kitchen (Kellie); seven great-grandchildren, Amilee, Zachary, Oliver, Brady, Parker, Bryan, and Riley; a sister, Donna Shaffer; as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Harriet was predeceased by four siblings, Thomas and Franklin Stoviak, Lucille Dudek, and Viola Hampton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W 4th St, Williamsport, PA 17701. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Harriet’s name to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
