John Snyder

John Snyder, 81, of Muncy, died Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport.

Born February 19, 1944, in Montgomery, he was a son of the late Harley and Pauline Snyder. He and his long-time partner, Kathryn Delker, of Muncy, shared a wonderful life together. John was also a devoted father and grandfather. He was previously employed in waste management for decades before his retirement. In his free time, John was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to Kathryn, are four sons, Jonathan Snyder of Millville, Jerome (Lavita) Snyder of Bloomsburg, Wesley (Tammy) Snyder of Muncy, and Anthony Snyder of Muncy; three stepchildren, Daniel (Tammy) Delker of Huntersville, Kevin Delker of Wyoming, and Debbie (Mike) Kapps of Unityville; two sisters, Vickie (Barry) Temple and Kim (Roger) Beagle; a brother, Richard (Sharron) Snyder, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Sones, Patricia Snyder, and Ina Kleffel.

Funeral Service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home – Hughesville, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, Pennsylvania, with George Walters officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
