Nancy Elizabeth Gay

Nancy Elizabeth Gay, 84, of Montgomery, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Nancy was the wife of Lowell S. Gay and were married on May 12, 1962, recently celebrating their 63rd anniversary together.

Born September 28, 1940, in Oxford, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Edna Harris. Nancy was a 1962 graduate of Polyclinic Nursing School, Harrisburg. As a registered nurse, Nancy worked at several heath care facilities including Williamsport Hospital, Kramm Nursing Home, and the Montgomery Area School District. She enjoyed oil painting, gardening, canning, and cooking. Nancy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Delaware Run, of Watsontown.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Lowell are two daughters, Patricia Gay of Middletown, and Susan (Michael) Bruner of McAlisterville; two brothers, Dallas Harris, and Doyle Harris; and two cousins, Sharon Hess, and Brenda Maier, and their children Thomas, Lindsay, and Nathan.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Hess.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on September 6, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Delaware Run, 6590 Musser Lane, Watsontown, Pa, 17777. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the church.
