Ralph Joseph Mecone

Ralph Joseph Mecone, 75, of Williamsport, died Monday, August 11, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center of Danville. Born January 17, 1950, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Marian A. (Friday) Mecone.

Ralph married Kim A. Strassner on July 6, 1985, and shared 40 years of marriage.

Ralph and his wife Kim shared a wonderful life. Ralph was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed going to car auctions and the casino with his good buddy Bill Doebler. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races, Phillies baseball and the Green Bay Packers. Ralph was previously employed as a Machinist for Houseknechts Machine & Tool Company, Inc. for 25 years retiring in 2016.

Ralph graduated from Loyalsock High School in 1967.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Kim A. Mecone; sons, Tristan M (Amy) Mecone, of Williamsport, David J. Mecone, of Montoursville; 4 grandchildren, Brianna “Eryx”, Natalie, Danielle, Gibson; sister, Eileen M. (Anthony John) Peluso of Williamsport, and by his father-in-law, Dale Strassner, of Hughesville.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Pastor Jerry L. Uppling officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
