Richard Cuda Sr., 80, of Wellsboro, passed away on Aug. 22, 2025.
He was the son of Charles and Alberta Cuda. Rick married Sharon Northrop, and they recently celebrated 60 years together.
After serving as a U.S. Marine Sergeant in Vietnam, Rick worked in Cuda's restaurant. Later he found his passion for selling cars.
Rick loved the Lord and was always actively involved with church where he served on the music team, was a deacon and loved his time as an Awana Commander.
Rick will be fondly remembered for his great love for his family and friends, as well as the many pets he had through the years. He was a great Italian cook and was known to have a wicked sweet tooth, as he never turned down his vanilla milkshake. Rick was known for his singing abilities and loved to sing Elvis.
Rick is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard Jr. (Debrah) Cuda and Matthew (Kim) Cuda; four grandchildren, Thomas (Alexandria) Cuda, Jessica (Joe) Colucci, Catherine and Jacob Cuda; sisters, Sandy (Jack) Miller, Maria Cuda and Brother Joe (Shirley) Cuda; sister-in-law, Jeanne (Gary) Ingerick; brother-in-law, Mark (Debi) Northrop; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah Cuda; and in-laws, Mahlon and Marian Northrop.
Per Rick's wishes, there will be no formal services. He requested a private gathering of his family to surround Sharon to remember and celebrate his life.
Rick's family would like to thank the CLC 2 and Home Health staff at Bath VA who helped us care for Rick. Your dedication to Rick and all our Veterans will never be forgotten.
Memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA.
