Virginia “Ginger” L. Paulhamus

Virginia “Ginger” L. Paulhamus, 69, of Montoursville passed away, August 18, 2025, at her home. Born October 6, 1955, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of William E. and Emma J. (Horn) Hamm.

Ginger married Ronald F. Paulhamus on May 14, 1976 and shared 44 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 27, 2020.

Ginger and Ron shared a wonderful life. A devoted wife and mother, Ginger expressed her faith, kindness, and love through cooking and hospitality. Class president of the Loyalsock Township High School Class of 1973, Ginger later graduated from Empire Beauty School and owned Angelique Hair Fashions until 1993, when she became Corporate Secretary of her family’s business, Paulhamus Litho, Inc. She loved making memories and organizing gatherings for her family, church, sorority sisters, and high school classmates. Together, she and Ron especially enjoyed Christmas, Disney World, Jimmy Buffett, and summer days by their pool. A dedicated member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ginger taught pre-baptismal classes and served as a Eucharistic Minister with Ron for more than 30 years.

Ginger is survived by her son, Ross W. Paulhamus, of Montoursville; sisters, Tracey M. (Michael) Harner, of Montoursville, Mary M. (David) Schon, of Cortland, NY, Brenda A. Hamm, of Linden, Cheryl J. (Randy) Ergott, of Williamsport, and Melissa A. McNemar, of Muncy.

In addition to her parents and husband Ron, Ginger was predeceased by her beloved son, Mark A. Paulhamus on October 30, 2020; sister, Jean M. Denmark-Mowery, and great-nephew, Cogan J. Metzger.

A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 22, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 100 Walnut St. Montoursville, with Rev. Father Michael S. McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the McCarty Thomas Funeral Home 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
