Emerson LaRue Lewis

Emerson LaRue Lewis, 90, of Proctor, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 5, 2025.

He was born in Wallis Run on September 6, 1934, to the late Charles and Anna Jane (Henry) Lewis.

Emerson was an Army veteran, a lifelong farmer and a retired fuel delivery driver at Montour Auto.

He married the former Mary Ann Eck on Jan 30, 1966; they celebrated 59 years together.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by their children, Annie (David) Aumen of Barbours, Jay Lewis of Huntersville and Christy (Greg) Moyer of Proctor, grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hunter, Jenna, Rebecca, Larry and Emily, a sister, Ruth DeWitt, and two brothers, Russell and Bruce.

In addition to his parents, Emerson was preceded in death by his siblings: Lester, Margaret, John, Pearl, Esther, Bob, Ray and Ernie.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Lycoming Valley Baptist Church, Montoursville, with a reception to follow. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
