Judith L. “Judy” (Soulerin) Koch

Judith L. “Judy” (Soulerin) Koch, passed away on September 11, 2025, in Waterville, at the age of 85. Judy was born on September 10, 1940, in Clearfield, to the late Albert J. and Edith M. (Hawkins) Soulerin. Judy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Judy was a dedicated worker, contributing her talents and energy to various jobs around the area. She was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to supporting her family and community.

Judy had a vibrant spirit and a love for life that was evident in her many interests. She found great joy in playing cards and being surrounded by her family. A talented gardener and cook, she enjoyed canning and preparing meals that brought loved ones together. Judy cherished her picturesque view of Pine Creek, often sharing its beauty with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

A loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Judy never missed an opportunity to cheer for her favorite football team. Her love of animals was well known, especially her deep affection for her dogs.

Judy was a valued member of the Jersey Shore Moose #214 and the Jersey Shore American Legion Post #36, where she formed lasting friendships and made cherished memories.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Larue E. Koch; brother, John Soulerin; and her sister, Peggy Clark. Her legacy of love and devotion continues through her surviving family: son, John E. (Karen) Koch; daughter, Tammy Walker; and grandchildren, Trevor Koch, Hailey (Robert) Hoffman, Heidi (Cody) Bradley, Zachery (Courtney) Mauck, Zebulin (Amanda) Mauck, and Lyndsey Walker. Judy was also blessed with six great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at the Waterville Fire Hall, with the date and time to be announced on the funeral home website. Friends and family are invited to leave fond memories and condolences on the website www.rearickcarpenter.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, located at 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and the love she shared will remain in our hearts forever.
