Margaret Frances Anthony Schwartz

Margaret Frances Anthony Schwartz of Williamsport passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Williamsport Home. She was born on September 19, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, the second child of Anna Brunetti Anthony and Raymond Anthony.
Marge graduated from Pennsbury High School in Levittown, PA and attended the Pennsylvania State University, where she met Alan Schwartz, whom she married in 1963. They settled near Towanda, PA and had five children. She was active in the Girl Scouts and in her church and was well known throughout her community for her delicious and elaborately decorated cakes. Marge worked several jobs during her time in Towanda, including managing the kitchen at Camp Lackawanna in Vosburg, PA, and she officiated swimming and diving with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Margaret is survived by her children, Craig Schwartz, Carrole Schwartz, James Schwartz, and Chadd Schwartz; grandchildren, Mackenzie Ardrey, Skyyler Mechtly, Anna Schwartz, and Bridget Schwartz; two great-grandchildren, and brother, James (Jill) Anthony. She is predeceased by a son, Dennis Schwartz, by sisters, Marie McCormick and Toni Mosher, and by brothers, Joseph Anthony and Michael Anthony. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 in Kaufman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2102 Northway Rd., Williamsport, PA.
