Genevieve G. “Jeanne” Fisher

Genevieve G. “Jeanne” Fisher, 100, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Cogan Station died Sat. Oct. 18 2025 in Ocala, FL.

Born March 10, 1925 in Drifting, Clearfield County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Mae (Folmar) Swartzle.

Jeanne was a 1943 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She worked for over 20 years in the cafeteria for Williamsport Area School District. Jeanne was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church where she served on church council, alter guild, and helped keep the memorial records. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, crafts, quilting and working in her flower gardens.

Surviving are two children Deborah L. Banko (Robert) of Ocalo, FL and Gary L. Fisher (Ursula) of Australia, four grandchildren Veronica (Dane), Brian (Hannah), David (Sara), and Robert (Radj), five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Charles H. “Buddy” Fisher on Dec. 4, 2009, daughter Denise L. Fisher on Feb. 3, 2011, five siblings Simon, Paul, and Francis Swartzle, Helen Bigelow, and Mary Albert.

A funeral service to honor Jeanne’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. A time of visitation will be held an hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
