Richard C. “Buzz” Baker, 76, of Muncy, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
Born June 9, 1949 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Albert LaRue and Geraldine (Shoemaker) Baker. On June 28, 1975, he married the former Betty Ann Feigles, who survives. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage.

He was a member of the Roland Ritter Post 268 American Legion, Muncy and the Muncy Lodge No.299 F & AM.
An avid outdoorsman, Buzz was a member of the Fern Springs Hunting Club, White Deer. He enjoyed hunting there with his father, brother, son and many other friends. He truly enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, Reid and Cole, and he couldn’t wait every summer to go fishing at Sharbot Lake, Ontario with his fishing buddy, Jason.
Community minded, he served on the Muncy Borough council for 12 years and loved spending time at Thad’s Place, Montgomery, helping out and socializing with the customers. Buzz was an avid fan of any sport played by Penn State and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Rupert, in infancy; and his stepfather who raised him, James Rupert Sr.
