Barbara Anne Snyder

Barbara Anne Snyder, 82, of Montoursville, was called home on Saturday November 1st, 2025.

She was born on August 14, 1943, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Richard S. and Elizabeth (Innis) Reed.

She was a 1961 Graduate of Lewistown High School and worked as the bookkeeper for the Edgecombe Co. Health Dept. in Tarboro, NC., a Registered Nurse at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC., Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in the head trauma unit in Malvern, Pa., Muncy Valley Hospital in Muncy, and Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport. She was a member of Community Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed her private Bible study and attended BSF for many years. She loved the Lord, her family, nursing, and outside of work she enjoyed her many hobbies which included cooking, crewel stitchery, knitting, sewing, crafting, and taking care of her home for her four guys.

She is survived by her three forever loved sons, Gary Charles Snyder Jr., Daniel Scott (Barbara Weaver) Snyder, and Todd Alan (Marcey) Snyder; five grandchildren, Logan Thomas, Dillon Michael, Bethany Rose, Sarah Joy (Owen), and Gabriel Isaac; six great-grandchildren, Conor Lucas, Gloria Sophia, Adalynn Sarah, Christopher Anthony, Elowyn Bloom, and Theodore Arthur; her brother Richard (Laralynn) Innis, of Nevada; and nephews Rob and Rich.

She was predeceased in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 52 years, Gary, who was called home in August of 2014; and a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline M. Snyder.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, services and interment will be held privately.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
