Carol Kessler DeSilva

Carol Kessler DeSilva, 76, of Muncy, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Geisinger, Muncy.

She was born on September 13, 1949, in Danville, the daughter of the late R. Clark and Harriett (Foust) Kessler. On May 19, 1979, she married Andrew G. DeSilva, who predeceased her in 1995.

Carol was a graduate of St. Cyril Academy, Danville. She later earned her bachelor’s and master’s from Bucknell University, and a second master’s from Penn State University. Carol worked as teacher in the Williamsport School District for her entire career, where she would eventually retire.

She volunteered many years at Camp Victory, Millville, where she was a founding member and very active with the Camp Kydnie program.

As a lifelong traveler, Carol saw almost every corner of the United States with her parents and brother Bobby. During college, she toured Europe. The travel bug never left her as she continued to travel with her family throughout the Caribbean, Europe, more destinations in the United States, and the happiest place on earth, Disney World.

Carol’s greatest legacy was her love and care for her entire family. Surviving are her two beloved children, Jacob DeSilva and his wife, Hollie, of MA, and Emily DeSilva, of Muncy; two grandchildren, Sofia and Benjamin; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Kessler, of NJ; a niece, Angela Wilson and her husband, Kevin, of NJ; and a nephew, Jeffrey Kessler and his wife, Sarah, of IL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert C. Kessler, Jr.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on Friday, November 7 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy.

Private services and burial will be held in Danville.
