D. June (Lord) Anderson

D. June (Lord) Anderson, 99, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully with her loving granddaughter by her side on Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was born in Williamsport on June 14, 1926, a daughter of the late Lester B. and Clare E. (Sullivan) Lord.

June graduated from Montoursville High School class of 1944. She worked at Sylvania for 40 years until her retirement in 1991. June belonged to Palmerton Senior Center and the Williamsport Sylvania Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, travelling, and gambling on occasion. June was a huge fan of Notre Dame Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Philadelphia 76ers. But above all, June adored spoiling her grandchildren.

June is survived by three sons, Lester B. (Vicki) Anderson of Williamsport; William C. (Sharon) Anderson of Fleming Island, Florida; Richard A. (Stephanie) Anderson of Palmerton; two daughters, Bette J. (Steve) Billetdeaux of Johnstown; Arlene D. (Stanley) Plocinski of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by a son, Butch Lord; three brothers; one sister; and one great grandchild.

A memorial service celebrating June’s life will be held at noon on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport with Reverend Bradley A. Walmer officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
