David Deihl Talada
David Deihl Talada, 92, of Montoursville, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home. Born July 24, 1933, in Powell, PA, he was the son of Malcolm and Gladys (Bieber) Talada. David married Ruth Pauline Brown on March 18, 1956, and shared 60 years of marriage prior to her passing on November 26, 2016.
David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was marked by love, service, and adventure. He enjoyed playing games, traveling, camping and was a proud member of the Good Sam Camping Club. David was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Montoursville, where his faith guided his life.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a dedicated member of the Eureka Lodge #335F&AM Montoursville. David delivered Meals on Wheels, embodying his commitment to helping others. His contributions to the community were countless, and his generosity touched many lives.
Above all, David cherished his wife Polly, his family, and his friends. His legacy of kindness, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
David is survived by a son, David D. (Susan) Talada, of Harrisburg and a daughter, Denise E. (Jeff) Andrew, of Cogan Station; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife Polly, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa D. Seyler; 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 400 N. Montour St., Montoursville, with Pastor Marion E. Handley officiating. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
