George D. Haas, 88, of Atwood Road, Stone Ridge, N.Y., moved on to his Lord's next assignment, from his home, on Dec. 24, 2025. Born in South Williamsport, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Gertrude M. (Tobin) Haas.
George was a proud native of Pennsylvania and graduate of South Williamsport Junior/Senior High School, class of 1955.
At George's request, there will be no visitation. Entombment will be in Wildwood Cemetery Praying Hands Mausoleum, Williamsport, at the convenience of the family.
Cryptside military honors will be offered by the Korean Veterans of Lycoming County.
In lieu of flowers, George had requested that donations be made to the Charles Haas Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. for Ulster County NY Firefighters, P.O. Box 404 Rosendale, NY 12472.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, NY.
