Cynthia (Cindy) Louise Wright

Cynthia (Cindy) Louise Wright, 65, of Williamsport, entered into everlasting life on January 23, 2026 at the Gatehouse, located inside Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.

She was born January 11, 1961 in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Dale and Mary Kathryn (Ludwig) Wright.

Cindy was a member of Hepburn Baptist Church, Cogan Station.

She was a gifted and accomplished florist, getting her start with Wally Wentz Florist in Montoursville. She relocated to Winston-Salem, NC where she became the senior designer at George K. Walker Florist. She designed arrangements for Dale Earnhardt’s funeral service and for Faith Hill and Elton John’s dressing rooms while they were performing locally. She ended her career doing seasonal work for Rose Wood Flowers in Muncy. But her greatest joy came from doing the wedding flowers of her family members and keeping her parents’ graves decorated for the holidays.

She is survived by two sons, Moses Worthy and Jordan (Candice) Worthy; one daughter, Mariah (Tajvio) Walker, all of Winston-Salem, NC; four sisters, Brenda (Jeff) Cowles, Cathy Wright, both of Williamsport; Sharon Upright, Montoursville; Debra (Don) Flaharty, Morrisdale; one brother, Edward (Jeri) Wright, Trout Run; six grandchildren, Tyson Worthy, Brooklyn Worthy, Josiah and Kairo Walker, Giavanna and Jordan (Jr.) Worthy; 13 nieces and nephews and their families; and extended family members, Maxine Bradby, Nikki Chambers, both of Winston-Salem, NC and Nathaniel Worthy, Concord, NC.

Cindy was a proud member of the Montoursville High School class of 1978. She was thankful to have attended the 65th birthday bash at Sammy’s Pizza in Muncy last fall.

Cindy loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was unashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. She was thankful for her pastor, Tim Schwartz, and her church family who tirelessly prayed for her and helped her in many different ways throughout her journey of declining health.

She had a favorite saying with her children and grandchildren: “Always remember and never forget, I love you.” She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of life service will be held in the spring when the flowers that she loved dearly will be blooming. It will take place on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at Hepburn Baptist Church, 2917 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
