Linda H. Gordner

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Linda H. Gordner of Unityville, was called home to be with the Lord, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born October 27, 1941, in Hughesville, she was a daughter of the late V. Wilbur and G. Marie (Keebler) Harman. Linda was a graduate of the 1959 class at Hughesville High School and also graduated from the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing. She also received an BSN from St. Francis University. Linda was employed as a Registered OBGYN Nurse who delivered many babies over her illustrious career of over 40 years.

Linda and her devoted husband, Gerald, had just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on November 23, 2025.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved painting, quilting, sewing, restoring furniture, traveling, and cooking and baking. Above all, Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who gave her so much joy.

Linda faithfully attended Grace Baptist Church in Muncy and over the years she was a Sunday School Teacher and leader of Pioneer Girls. She was also an active member of the alumni group of the Harrisburg School of Nursing, participated in the Christian Business Women's Brunch, Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club, Silver Sneakers, and the Country Twirlers, where she was a blue-ribbon winner.

Most importantly, Linda was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith was very important to her and her loving grandchildren said it best; "because of Grammy we have never questioned the presence of God or the truth of Jesus Christ. Grammy's faith gave a foundation to all of us and we love her."

She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Gordner, of Unityville; sons, Gerald (Kim) Gordner, of Fayetteville, N.C., Gregory (Lisa) Gordner, of Millville, and Kelby (Natalie) Gordner, of Unityville; daughters, Lindy (Doug) Hilling, of Williamsburg, and Melanie (Todd) Williams, of Unityville; sisters, Penny (Wendall) Neiswanger, of Rootstown, OH, and Sharon (Larry) Jarrett, of Wind Gap. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Aside from her parents, Linda was also predeceased by her brother, Pat, and his wife, Peggy Harman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, with The Reverend Doctor Charles E. Teffeteller officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Gordner Cemetery.
