Olivia “Liv” Perrotto
(July 28, 2010 – January 14, 2026)
Olivia “Liv” Perrotto, a radiant and courageous 15-year-old from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.
Born on July 28, 2010, Liv was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Sarcoma at the age of 10 in March 2021. What followed was an extraordinary five-year journey marked by relentless strength, grace, and an unshakable love for life-especially everything related to space. Despite grueling treatments, multiple relapses, surgeries, clinical trials, and the fierce progression of her illness, Liv never lost her spark. She became a beacon of hope and inspiration far beyond her years.
In 2021, on her 11th birthday, the Inspiration4 crew invited her to witness their historic launch, turning one of life’s darkest moments into a memory of pure wonder. Later, she was honored to design the zero-gravity indicator (the beloved “Asteroid”) for the Polaris Dawn mission-a piece of her forever flown among the stars.
Liv’s bravery touched countless lives, from fellow cancer fighters and space enthusiasts to strangers moved by her story. She dreamed of going to space herself and, in many ways, she already did.
She is survived by her parents, Joel and Rebecca Perrotto; her beloved little sister, Abby; her grandparents Paul and Jean Chapman and John and Brenda Perrotto; extended family; and her cherished cats Mao Mao and Yuki who kept her company until the end.
Liv was a fighter, a dreamer, a light. She taught us about courage, love, and the beauty of never giving up-even when the odds were impossibly hard. Liv never complained about her sickness and always had a smile. That smile and joy for life will be terribly missed by all of those who love her.
Though her time on Earth was far too short, the mark she left is eternal.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, 410 E. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
A public celebration of life will take place at the church on Sunday, January 25, 2026, starting at 10 a.m., with lunch to follow.
A private burial will be held at the family’s discretion. Memorial contributions can be made at any Citizens and Northern Bank in the name of Joel or Rebecca Perrotto memo “Liv’s Memorial Fund”, to establish a scholarship fund to honor Liv’s final wishes.
Rest in peace, sweet Liv. We look forward to the glorious day when we are reunited, by God’s grace, we will be called up together to meet the Lord in the air-and so we will always be with the Lord, reunited in His presence forever.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 (NIV): “After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
