Pauline D. Stopper

Pauline D. Stopper, 75, of Schnecksville, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. She was the life-long companion of Lee A. Schaeffer of Mertztown. Born in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pauline was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Verna Frances (Reidy) Stopper. A graduate of Bloomsburg University, Pauline was employed as a speech therapist at Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 in Schnecksville and Northwestern Lehigh School District for 42 years before retiring.

Pauline enjoyed many outdoor activities including gardening and sailing. She was an avid skier and was a member of the Blue Mountain National Ski Patrol for 30 years.

In addition to her companion, Lee; sisters, Sister Verna Marie Stopper, Sister Mary Clare Stopper, Antonette Herrick (Weston), Frances R. Kubick, Barbara Estabrook (Bart), Lorraine M. Stopper, Audrey Hoffman (Gerald), Cecelia Frey (James); brother, Charles Stopper (Sue); predeceased by siblings, Bernard A. Stopper, Mary Jo Cillo, David Stopper.
