Raymond J. “Frenchy” LeBlanc

Raymond J. “Frenchy” LeBlanc, 82, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at his home.

Born February 26, 1943 in St. Antoine, New Brunswick, Canada, he was one of 18 children born to Hector and Laura (Goguen) LeBlanc. He married the former Yvette Maillet on September 24, 1966. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage before her death Aug. 16, 2012.

Raymond worked at the former Albert M. Lock Company in Massachusetts until its closing. He then transferred to Brodart in Williamsport, where he worked as the finishing room supervisor, retiring in 2010.

He was of Catholic faith.

Raymond was a social member of the Bower-Decker Post 251 American Legion, Montgomery.

He kept a meticulous yard and enjoyed gardening with his wife. In his younger years, he was fond of hunting with his son, Pete. He loved visiting with his family in Massachusetts and Canada, but most of all, Raymond loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events.

Surviving are one son, Pete LeBlanc of Montgomery; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Raymond Gough, of Montgomery; one brother, Donald LeBlanc, of Gardner, Mass; one sister, Rita Maillet, of Gardner, Mass; four grandchildren, Arissa (Drew) Stevens, Tanner (Jill) LeBlanc; Kiana (Dustin) Heiser and Dalton Gough; and five great-grandchildren, Everson, Bellamie, Rhett, Roslyn and Sterling.

In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by a daughter, Rose-Marie LeBlanc; daughter-in-law, Richell LeBlanc; and 15 siblings.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Rt. 405 Highway, Montgomery, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Jim Girven, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.

A luncheon will be held following services in the church social hall.
