Saabir Malik Gibson

Saabir Malik Gibson, affectionately known as “Bir” was born to Harold and Alesia Gibson on February 16, 1996, in Williamsport, PA. Saabir abruptly but peacefully departed this earthly life to receive his crown on January 8, 2026.

Saabir completed his primary education in the Williamsport area (Millionaires), then relocated to Loyalsock Township School District (Lancers) graduating in the Class of 2014. For a short time, Saabir also attended Wyoming Valley West High School (Spartans) where he played basketball and football. Bir attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania on an academic and football scholarship. He also became a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity while at IUP. Saabir graduated in May 2018 with a B.S in Management/Entrepreneurship and Small Business. During his college internship at Northwestern Mutual, he was recognized for his financial contributions the company made during his employment. Saabir told his Mother, “Mom if I can make someone else’s company a million dollars, then I can do it for us too.” From that passion Resilience Homecare & Staffing LLC was birthed (Family Business).

At the time of Saabir’s untimely death, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Resilience Homecare & Staffing. He was also actively working side by side with his father through their family-owned real estate company called Gibson Real Estate Ventures (Family Business). He was able to combine his business knowledge and skills to offer housing opportunities within his hometown. Saabir’s previous employers include Medical Solutions, Northwestern Mutual, and various side hustles including, credit repair, construction management, logistics, and property management.

Growing up, Saabir has always been known in the community as a Leader. His contagious smile and kindness towards others were unprecedented. Bir was known for always pouring into his friends and family’s dreams, being everyone’s go to for business ideas, suggestions on real estate, stocks, and anything healthcare related. By doing this, he often put his own goals and dreams on the back burner, but that did not matter to him, as long as he was part of the “Winning Team.” Saabir was a hustler with an entrepreneurial spirit, always trying the next millionaire idea. He had a humble spirit and made an instant impact no matter where his feet landed. He loved his family and his friends endlessly. He was our “GOAT” our “Champion” making us so proud to call him Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend. Saabir found Christ at an early age, working in various parts of ministry at Unity Christian Fellowship. Saabir was an avid sportsman with his favorite teams: Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds!) and 76’ers. He played Basketball and Football for every school he attended.

Saabir leaves to celebrate his life: his parents, Harold and Catherine Gibson, Isaac and Alesia Sunday. Siblings: Iyuana Gibson and Maliki Chapman. Grandmother: Delsinor Grayson.
