Galen R. Hessler, 94, of Woolrich, PA, died Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home. Born September 19, 1931, in Old Town Maine, MA, he was the son of Floyd W. Hessler and Pauline F. (Bradford) Hessler.
Galen owned and operated Hessler's Garage and Towing in S. Williamsport, PA for over 30 years. He then went to work for B&B Block of Williamsport for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, feeding and watching the wildlife at his home, along with building and flying his radio-controlled airplanes.
Galen is survived by a daughter, Sharon "Sherry" Shipley, of Ocala, Fla; son, Floyd G. (Sandra) Hessler, of Chambersburg; 3 grandchildren, and stepson, John Hearton, of Hughesville, PA.
In addition to his parents, Galen was preceded in death by his wife, Christine M. (Agostinelli) Hessler.
Funeral Service will be held noon Friday, February 13, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Pastor Martin Coffey officiating. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
