Irene M. Colabine

Irene M. Colabine, 76, of Hughesville, died Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Edenbrook North, Williamsport. She was the loving wife of Alan D. Colabine and were married on June 30, 1996.

Born March 30, 1949, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Helen (Furman) Brelsford. Irene was a 1968 graduate of Montoursville High School, and the State Beauty School, Williamsport, where she received her teaching certificate. She was employed at numerous salons in the area. Irene retired from T.J.’s Market, Hughesville, where she worked in the deli department. She was a member of the Beacon United Methodist Church, Hughesville, and enjoyed singing as a soloist and church choir. Irene sang with “Dan and Gala” at Lycoming County, Clearfield, and Bloomsburg Fairs. She was known to many as “Queenie” for her weight loss in the Tops organization.

Surviving is her husband, Alan Colabine, of Hughesville; a sister, Sally (Richard) Buckle, of Jersey Shore; a niece, Brenda Buckle; and a nephew, Bradford (Vickie) Buckle.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Beacon: A United Methodist Church, 146 S. Main St., Hughesville, Pa., 17737, with Pastor Kevin St. Martin, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
