Jerry G. Frear, Sr

Jerry George Frear, Sr., 79, of Williamsport went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at UPMC Williamsport. He was born on September 9, 1946 in Williamsport and was the son of Oscar and Katheryne Peterson Frear. Jerry and his wife the former Judith Ann Young were married on October 10, 1967 and shared a wonderful 58 years together.

Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1978 graduate of the former Williamsport Area Community College with an Associate Degree in Business. He completed the Lay Leadership Program of Training with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in 1998. He started working in the appliance industry in 1967, retiring in 2013, first as an appliance repairman and then training technicians all over the United States. He was a lifelong member of Greenview Alliance Church and a member of the Army National Guard. Jerry loved to fix and repair things. His children and grandchildren often said “ask my Dad/Pap, he can fix anything!” Jerry also enjoyed painting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter-in-law, Elissabeth and son, Robert (Angela) as well as grandchildren, Jamin, Phoebe (Tyrone, PA), Harrison (Dallas, TX), Philip and Jessica. Also surviving is sister, Bette Ann Boyer (Cogan Station) and brother, Dean (Marilyn) (Bloomsburg) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Fred Stover (Texas) and son Jerry Frear, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 7, 2026 at Greenview Alliance Church, 1955 Warrensville Rd., Montoursville with Reverend Bill Klees officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church and there will be a fellowship meal after the service.

The family will provide flowers and suggest that memorial contributions be made to Greenview Alliance church.
