Les Lee A. Bennett

Les Lee A. Bennett, 79, of Muncy, passed on Monday, February 17, 2026, at the Gatehouse with family by her side.

Born November 1, 1946, in Youngstown, OH, she was a daughter of the late William R. Richmond and Sara M. (Rothermel) Holt. On February 10, 1984, she married Jay A. Bennett, who survives.

Les Lee was a 1965 graduate of Montgomery High School. Following high school she worked at the former Relda’s dress factory, Hughesville. She later worked at various manufacturers including GTE Sylvania and L3Harris, now Stellant Systems, both of Williamsport. Les Lee then worked as a guard at the Lycoming County Prison and SCI, Muncy.

She attended Picture Rocks Baptist Church.

Les Lee enjoyed cleaning and taking breaks to watch her favorite shows; like mystery shows with Angela Lansbury or the Hallmark Channel, especially around Christmas time. She loved flowers and making them into beautiful arrangements. Les Lee was also fond of Doberman dogs.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Lee Welshans, of Rauchtown; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Curt and Stefanie Bennett, of Picture Rocks and Brian Bennett, of Muncy; two sisters, Billie Lou Richmond and Mary Myers, both of Muncy; five grandchildren, Felisha, Brandon, Alexis, Matthew and Christopher; and seven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Owen, Aubree, Kimber, Isabelle, Paisley and Daphne.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, William “Ray” Holt.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, with her pastor, Rev. Jerry Uppling, officiating.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
