Lois L. Renn

Lois L. Renn, 90, a longtime resident of Muncy, died Saturday, February 21, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport.

Born September 26, 1935, at home in Pennsdale, she was a daughter of the late J. Phillip and Luella Mae (Karschner) Griggs. On October 28, 1955, she married Benjamin Renn Jr. who predeceased her on February 11, 2006.

Lois was a 1953 graduate of Muncy High School. When her kids were young, she worked as a waitress at the former Moran Hotel and Country Corner, but most of her time was spent as a true matriarch, caring for and raising her family.

Lois kept very active through the years belonging to the American Legion Post 268 Women’s Auxiliary, the Muncy Business and Professional Women, the Muncy Valley Moose and the Widow’s Mite.

Most importantly, she continued her love of family to her grandchildren and beyond. Lois cherished time spent with all her family and friends and notably would send cards and letters to them for birthdays, holidays and simply to show she cared.

Surviving are six children, Sharon Tedesco and her husband, Mark, of Williamsport, Stephen Casey Renn, of Michigan, and Cheryl Ann Kibby and her husband, Kevin, Curtis Alan Renn, Scott Renn, and Gregory Renn, all of Muncy; one brother, Richard Griggs, of Williamsport; one sister, Mary Richards, of Hughesville; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, B. Grace Price, Ruth Schrader and Barbara Kepner; and one brother, T. George Griggs.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, February 26 at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St. Muncy, where the funeral will be held at Noon with Rev. Ben Lander, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
