Maryanne Rossello
Maryanne Rossello left this world on February 4, 2026 from Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport, having left her beloved home of 45 years by the Loyalsock Creek in Cogan Station, just hours before.
Born March 1, 1948 in Madison, Oneida County, NY, she was the daughter of Philip J. and Elinor (Hathaway) Rossello.
Having lived in several places including New Jersey and Boston, Maryanne graduated from Susquehanna University with a B.S. in Business Management in 1970, eventually moving to the Williamsport area, beginning her 45-year career as an office manager and deed abstracter at the Elion, Wayne, Grieco, & Carlucci Law Offices.
Proud of her maternal pre-revolutionary New England heritage and of her paternal grandparent’s immigration from Sicily, Maryanne was a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 2786, and a member of Shikelimo Chapter DAR and Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. A cat lover, she was active on the board of LAPS for 25 years. A social butterfly, she was a 20-year member of The Wheel Inn, proudly part of many winning bocce ball teams, part of a Tuesday card club she loved for many years, and was a huge Steelers and Ohio State fan. She enthusiastically loved gardening, cooking and baking, needlework, reading, old movies, music and concerts – but mostly her people.
Maryanne leaves a sister, Sally Rossello of Ohio, a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Marsha Rossello of Virginia, four nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews, Jesse Maruschak and family of Colorado, and so many friends who have been deeply touched by her life and will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her companion of 26 years, Deryl Maruschak, and her best friend and Deryl’s sister, Cindy Maruschak, both in 2021.
Maryanne lived, and put a lot of life between her dashes. She loved life and held onto it with a fierce positivity during her long cancer battle. A remembrance ceremony for all friends and family will be held Saturday, March 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Sons of Italy, 144 East Fourth St., Williamsport. Memorial contributions may be made in Maryanne’s memory to LAPS (Lycoming Animal Protection Society), 630 Wildwood Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701.
Arrangements entrusted to Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
