Ralph F. Marks, 90, of Hughesville, died Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 16, 1935, in Winfield, he was a son of the late John Marks and Ada Marks (Crossgrove). Ralph was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class during the Korean War and served in the Reserves thereafter. After the military, he was employed at the former Sprout Waldron for 44 years, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club, retiring in 1999.
He and his wife, Ethel, were married for 58 wonderful years, until her passing on December 11, 2018. Ralph was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, working on his farm, butchering and woodworking. He was a proud member of the Muncy VFW, Hughesville Legion Post 35 where he served as Sergent at Arms and former Commander, and the Muncy Valley Moose.
Ralph is survived by sons, Fred (Mechelle) Marks of Hughesville, and Kevin (Ana) Marks of Amsterdam, N.Y.; daughters, Beth (David) Pawlicki of Spring City, and Deborah (Paul) Giannetto of Hughesville; grandchildren, Blake Marks, David Pawlicki, John Giannetto, Maliza Maldonaldo, Claire Mamo, and Kayla Fry; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Blanche (Bruce) Gaugler of Selinsgrove.
Aside from his wife, Ralph was preceded in death by six siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home – Hughesville, 557 E. Water St. with Rev. Charles E. Teffeteller officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ralph’s name to the American Cancer Society Donations.
