Robert Frank Falk

Robert Frank Falk, 93, died peacefully at home in Williamsport surrounded by family on February 2, 2026, following a long illness. He was born on June 28, 1932 in Astoria, Queens, son of Ann Capone and Frank Falk. He was a proud graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Philosophy, followed by a Masters of Divinity degree, at Drew University. His intellectual pursuits gradually shifted and he went on to receive a Master’s Degree and PhD in theatre at Wayne State University. In 1970, Bob was recruited by the dean to run the theatre program at Lycoming College. He had an exceptional career of 32 years at Lycoming, teaching acting, directing, film, and theatre history, as well as acting in and directing numerous productions.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Amy, and four children, Dianne (John), Drew (Olivia), David (Rodney), and Caitlin (Patrick). “Peepa,” as he was affectionately known, is survived by nine grandchildren, Amber (Jesse), Melissa (Jonathan), Tessa (Drew), Jessi (Joe), Jeremy (Autumn), Connor, Trevor, Nora, and Sylvie; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild expected in June. His warm, charismatic and loving nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Bob is predeceased by his first wife Gayle, his daughter Deborah Falk Rogers, his grandson John Ashley Irion (survived by his wife Holly), his sister Lynne, and his in-laws Barbara and AndrÈ Cartal.

Bob’s family would like to thank Dr. Sholi, Sherri Bower, and the entire hospice team at UPMC, as well as Dr. Pinckney and Dr. Bloiso for their kind and thoughtful care. A memorial service will take place in the spring at the Mary L. Welch Theatre at Lycoming College in Williamsport.
