Francis A. Russo

Francis A. Russo passed away on February 9, 2026 at his home in Woodbridge, VA.

He was born June 29, 1947 in Renovo, PA to the late Ernest M. Russo and Anna R (Sciabica) Russo. He attended St. Josephs Catholic School graduating in 1964. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, served aboard USS Coral Sea CVA-42. The majority of his military service was spent in the South China Seas, Tonkin Gulf. Upon completion of his military duty, he attended community college in Virginia earning an Associate Degree in Accounting. He worked many years for the National Red Cross as a field accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Linn; children, Samantha (Rick) Finocchiaro, Heather (David) Lyne, Anthony Russo. Five grandchildren, Andrew, Zoe, Ashlin, Taylor, Roland. Sister, Olivia (Lou) Mitcheltree, special niece and nephew, Carrie and Shawn and many cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 t 11 a.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, PA with Rev. Bryan Wright officiating. Interment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, VA. Local arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.
