Frederic “Fritz” Miller

Frederic “Fritz” Miller, 78, of Montoursville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born August 13, 1947, in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Rev. Paul A. Miller and Dorothy (Moudy) Miller.

He was a graduate of Montoursville High School in 1966. He also attended Williamsport Area Community College, now Penn College, where he graduated with an associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting Engineering in 1968.

After college, he began working for Pullman Power Products as a draftsman and later worked to be their Quality Assurance Inspector for piping for nuclear and non-nuclear reactors. After their closure, he worked for Beacon Container and Economy Locker Storage before retiring in 2005.

Along the way, he met his wonderful wife of 51 years, Beverly Miller, who shared a fabulous life together. As time grew, they became parents and grandparents, which made Fritz the best father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He was such a caring person, who loved to carry a conversation with all he encountered. Outside of family and work, he enjoyed Set Back Card Club at Sammy’s, had season tickets to Penn State football games, was an avid golfer with a best score of 77, and for many years was a member of a bowling league at Faxon Lanes.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Amick) Miller, of Montoursville; two children, Stacey (Leo) Page-Miller, of Kingston, and Andrew (Katie) Miller, of Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Reid, Sammy, and Nathan.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Fritz’s life will be held at a later date chosen by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
