Kenneth N. Rinker
Kenneth N. Rinker, 96, of Montoursville, passed away at his home died surrounded by family on March 3, 2026, at his home. Born December 5, 1929, in Hillsgrove, he was the son of Francis and Marie (Brey) Rinker. Ken married Amelia C. DeParasis on November 29, 1974, and shared 51 years of marriage.
Ken and his wife Amelia shared a wonderful life. Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Ken graduated from Sullivan County High School in 1947. He served in the army during the Korean War before graduating from Williamsport Area Community College, studying electrical trade. Using his electrical education, Ken worked for over 40 years as a Senior Electronics Engineer with Litton, where he met his wife, Amelia. When not at work, Ken enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing trips with his family. During retirement, he found joy by staying busy maintaining the farm. He could be found tinkering in the barn, working in the woodshop, mowing grass or tending to the garden and flower beds. In later years, feeding and watching wildlife kept his interest. Ken was the happiest when family, friends and neighbors would come to visit, so he could swap old stories and spend time with his 19 great-grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife, Amelia C. Rinker; daughters, Sharon L. (Paul) Boyer, of Montoursville, Angelina M. (John) Waldman, of Williamsport; son, William T. (Carrie) McKinney, of Muncy; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a son, Blake A. Rinker; daughter, Deborah M. Dougherty; a sister, and 7 brothers.
