Russell (Russ) D. Bowen

Russell (Russ) D. Bowen, age 69, of Roulette, PA, passed away at his home on March 21, 2026. He was born on September 24,1956, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Ransom H. and Audrey H. (Kendrick) Bowen. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Tanner) Bowen, whom he married in 1988 after several years together. Russ was known for his unwavering kindness, and his huge heart for the animals he cared for during his career. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those whose lives he enriched.

Russ is survived by his wife, Nancy; siblings, Rick (Charlotte) Bowen of Greeley, CO, Ransom “Rance” Bowen of Wellsboro, PA, and Rene (Freal) Perry of Gaines, PA; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom H. and Audrey Bowen.

A private family service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers family and friends can make donations in Russ’s memory to Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, 725 Gee Rd, Tioga, PA 16946.
